I would like to start a blog where I can post my thoughts on various issues. I would like to have people be able to find the blog, post responses, and possibly email me questions, and comments. I also like to be able to have some design ability so far as the look of the page. I don’t know anything about programming or site building, so the blog needs to be user friendly. Any suggestions.

I like wordpress.com. The downside is that there are some advanced features that cost money.
blogspot.com is perfectly acceptable as well, though.
